Open space a key to Arapahoe County quality of life
More than 90 percent of Arapahoe County residents cite open space and trails as an important reason they choose to call the county home. And Arapahoe County voters have put their money where their views are by twice approving a modest sales tax to fund open space. This has resulted in more than 31,000 acres of county-owned open space as well as 61 miles of bike trails and 109 park projects. Additionally, Arapahoe County voters approved funding allowing nearly nine miles of streams in the county to be cleaned up and reclaimed.
